SKIN CARE FOR THE MONSOON

The monsoon is one of the most beautiful seasons of the year, but together with it, come infections and a host of other diseases. The humid and the damp weather does take a toll on your skin.
Here are some simple tips to maintain a healthy and beautiful skin this monsoon –

1   1)   Water Water Everywhere - Proper hydration at all times is the single most efficient way to keep skin healthy. Continue with your regular intake of water. Most folks reduce water intake during monsoon by half. Remember to have your daily dose of water for a glowing skin.

     2)      No Sun. Yes Sunscreen – Most of us give sunscreens a break. Well, you might not see the sun, but the rays are there, just like the summers. Use a light sunscreen during daytime.

3   3)      Pamper your hands and feet – Monsoon is a good time for a manicure and pedicure. For a toned and healthy look, pedicure and manicure is highly recommended, especially in a damp climate.

    4)      Water proof stuff – From your compact, to eye liner to Mascara, use water proof cosmetics.

5  5)      Wash those infections off – Monsoon is a time when all those badass viruses are on the prowl. Ensure you give your fruits and vegetables an extra wash before eating/cooking them.

6  6)      Swatch Haath – Most diseases spread through the hands. The monsoons are a more disease friendly climate. So get a good hand sanitiser that will keep your hands germ free all the time.

7  7)      Pavilion wash – Remember to cleanse your face as soon as your reach back home. Use lukewarm water for your feet as well.

In the next few upcoming posts, we will look at some home remedies for various skin types during monsoons.

Stay tuned, you beautiful people. Meanwhile, let it rain!
